Hawkman and Hawkgirl are summoned back to Thanagar. After marveling at the centuries-advanced monetary system (in which employers deposit payments directly into their employees' bank accounts, and the employees pay for things via convenient plastic cards that are scanned by machines rather than handling actual money) the pair are forced to use techniques learned on Earth to stop the thrill-thief Byth.
