Conan is imprisoned, having been betrayed by Jenna for some gold. He is soon hired by a man who will help him escape on the condition that he kill the city's current ruler. The plan is set in motion, but is discovered before Conan is freed from prison. A Cimmerian never breaks a vow, and Conan must find his own way out.
