The Avengers attempt to return to their own world, but something goes wrong, stranding four of their number on a parallel Earth. Once there, they discover this Earth is about to be destroyed. Not realizing this world is not their own, they head to Avengers Mansion, and find it populated by an entirely different team of superheroes.
