Waiting near a JLA teleporter, Dr.Light is ambushed by the Privateer who until recently had been The Manhunter. Signaling for the League, Privateer watches as they chase after Dr Light but to no avail. Light escapes and is challenged by a new character, the Star Tsar who leaves to rob an embassy with the aid of his minions. Dr Light summons the police to stop the Star Tsar and the League intercepts him, foiling his robbery but he escapes. While searching for him, they find Snapper Carr who claims to have simply been in the neighborhood. The League discover Dr Light's hideout and attack but are captured and left for dead. The Star Tsar appears and aids their escape, allowing them to capture Dr Light, in the process destroying his hideout.
