Iron Man manages to drag himself closer to shore, but his low power and heavy armour mean that he still runs the risk of drowning. Daredevil is passing by, and manages to pull him ashore. The two head out after the Blood Brothers, who are working to aid an unknown individual. Realizing that he's never seen the brothers fight far apart, Iron Man suggests drawing them away from each other. The plan works, and the two become weakened as the distance between them increases. Iron Man finishes them off handily. At this point, the reader (but not the heroes) learn that the Blood Brothers were aiding the Controller, who is trying to regain enough strength to return.
