Iron Man catches up with a moving train to talk to Pepper and Happy. They have resigned from Stark International, realizing that staying means danger and possibly death if they help Stark, and further realizing that they will always choose to help Stark if they are around. The only way to protect themselves is to be somewhere else, so they are leaving. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Iron Man, Thanos' Blood Brothers have returned to Earth, and have slaughtered people and livestock alike to satisfy their goals. Learning of this, Iron Man goes to face them alone, and without the help of Drax or the Thing that he had before, he is defeated and buried under a concrete slab underwater, risking a drowning if he can't get free before his armour's oxygen supply runs out.
